Question regarding Switch game regions and eShop DLC availability or region locking

Hello, I am preordering an Asian copy of Splatoon 3 that has English as a language option, would I be able to buy any future DLC of the game through eShop if my account is set to the US?

Now this is something we can't know yet for an unreleased game. But if you base it on previous Splatoon 2, then the DLC need to match the region of the original game.

ok, asking about another situation: let's say I make an account for a game that doesnt match with my current account. if I buy dlcs on the region account would I be able to access the dlc data on my main account?

It depends, Some games have DLC Region locking, Dont confuse this with regular region locking though, Nintendo switch can play games from any region. But some games region lock their DLC content to the game. So you'll need to buy the DLC from the same region to use it.

Also, Just mentioning that we do not have a list of games that have this "DLC region lock" Since there are a quite alot of them.

Further note: You dont need to worry about the language of that region aswell, The switch will play the game from the language you choose in the system settings regardless of the region or the language.
