Contact cleaner is for cleaning contacts, not for lubricating. You likely have ruined the joystick.
Stop using joycons, i have had the pro controller for about since it came out and it hasnt drifted once. The joycons are crappy quality for a high price and i dont recomend them unless you are actually going to care for them.
what should i use instead?
There is no “instead”. You have to replace the joysticks now.
simply?
is it hard?
Are you comfortable working on electronics?
i have opened joycon before
and a pc
Okay. You should be able to find new joysticks on eBay or Amazon.
I'll try that
eh he's using "electrical" contacts cleaner
@royal knoll What you are using was the bottle you bought last time, right?
Can you show me the bottle again? real life pic now
That's actually the correct one
I'm not sure why it made your joystick sticky, how much did you use?
Just need one tiny spray
and it will evaporate right after
i did it 3 times i could say
because the drift kept on coming back after 5 minutes
but i think I'll just replace the joystick
it's not a difficult task
Yeah it seems like your joystick has been damaged too much
Normally, you only need to do it once, if it came back right after, then cleaning further won't help
