PING IF HELPING
Just for clarification, this randomly started when i downloaded and openned asphalt 9 legends
I don't think it's caused by any games.
Can you try to put some pressure on that location of the screen?
Just very gently so
See if the touch point can change
Ok
One second
@proper quarry
It just randomly stopped???
Idk whats happening its starting and stopping like every 2 hours ir so
Alright the next time it happens, see if the touch point changed location
No
All the times its happend it didnt change positions
Hence I said "next time"
Oh ok
But does it have a fixed period?
Do i ping or anything next time
Wdym?
I meant do you notice it has a very fixed timing to occur
If you mean it stays in one place then yes
Not sure i havent been keeping track of the time
Alright, it's fine
This is the 3rd time its happend since it happend the first time
I dont need a screen replacement right
next time when it happens, try doing a power cycle, turn off the console then turn it back on again
We don't know yet
Ok
Just know i didnt drop or do anything to the switch
So im pretty sure it might be a software issue
Thanks for the help ill let you know if it happens again
Unfortunately, this can't rule it out either.
Sometime things break on their own.
If i replace the screen ill fix it myself
But ya know, sometime things break because of freak accidents you are not even aware about.
Yeah
And sometime it's due to old age, thermal expansion, hidden defect, etc...
The thing is, is just that i usually keep my seitch on a dock when im sleeping so that may be the cause, but the reason i dont think that is because it didnt happen after i put it in the dock
It happend as soon as i openned a game
Oh ok
Thats annoying 😭
Final question, can i use it right now since its not happening or do i leave the switch alone?
Yep, you can just use it like normal
Ok good thanks
The reason why I asked previous question is to judge where the damage is
For your case, it can be from dirt particle or something stuck inside the 2 layers of the digitizer and the LCD
or a loose cable on the digitizer
Thats an easy fix
In those cases, yes
Ok good
But what if it's not? Then that's when you have to replace them.
Hmm
Yeah
Do i need a #00 philip screwdriver
Or something ele cause im currently fixing my 3ds and dont know if the screws have the same size proportions
Im just fixing the hinge and wifi connector
Dude, I don't think you are ready to do it. It's actually one of the harder type of repair
You need to heat up the glue on the digitizer to lift it up
Ohh
and to access the cable, you need to basically strip every single components inside the Switch
You can find some video guide if you want
Not the screen and stuff
Like where you can just easily take things apart
Wanna see my 3ds lmao
I meant, it's kinda the same but... the Switch is a much more complex machine
and if you break anything, it's much more expensive to repair than a 3DS
I get what you mean
You break a cable's connector then that'll require micro-soldering
The switch was strictly mot mesnt to be openned for modders
Is what i heard
Yeah im not ready 😭
This happend lol
Just keep monitoring it
