I can excuse Packers-Bears because it's the most historic rivalry in NFL History & the league likes to have at least one of those matchups schedule on national TV slot every season (particularly an early season Primetime matchup on NBC) regardless of the quality of both teams. Not surprisingly, this is the first season that a Packers-Bears game wasn't scheduled for primetime since 2006 (Week 17 game @ Solider was flex in).

But considering the other games involve Super Bowl contenders (or would be in the case of the Jets) such as the Bengals, Bills, Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys & 49ers & a few 2nd tier teams, this game truly sticks out like a sore thumb because it involves arguably the worst team in the NFL going up against the defending Super Bowl champions.

I understand the league was originally supposed to send this game oversees but the league respected the Chiefs organizations wishes to keep the game in KC ("Home" teams for International games are allowed to request one opponent to specifically not be the team they play in that game.) because Bears fans travel well & will bring a lot of money/revenue to the local area & at the stadium. However, did they really have to make it a late afternoon matchup?
