The Giants did not run the ball on first down in the first half once

With 9-10 games left to go, we could potentially see the first 3 way divisional tie

#

This week in the AL West the Rangers, Astros, and Mariners have the chance to do the very first 3 way tie for the division. In order for this to happen the Mariners and Rangers will have to go 5-5 and the Astros will have to go 4-5 for their final games. The Mariners and Rangers play against each other for their last 7 of 10, with both of them only playing series against division rivals (Angels v. Rangers, Mariners v. Astros). Depending on the divisional results posted by each team would decide the 3 way tie. If the Rangers at least win 2/7 against the Mariners they will have the tie breaker against the Mariners. Astros have the tiebreaker over the Rangers. Finally the Mariners have the tiebreaker over the Astros. So in order to decide the division winner in this situation it would come down to divisional record, which would go to the Mariners.

Entering their Final 10 Games, the Seattle Mariners, per FanGraphs, have almost equal odds to Win the Division (30.4%), Win a Wild Card Spot (34.4%), or Miss the Playoffs Entirely (35.2%)

Based on the performance of the team over the past three months, M's fans have had no idea how to view this team. From dominating in July and August to skidding into September, the team's been all over the place.

As it turns out, the probability can't make up it's mind either. We basically have just as much of a shot of winning division as we do of missing the dance entirely.
