Kikuchi Last 6 Starts

#

Kikuchi has a ~2.50 ERA last 6 starts averaging 5 1/2 IP

Also in half a season worth of starts (16) Jays are 11-5. Pretty much accounting for the number of games we are above .500

The reason I bring this up is because of Consistency. Kikuchi has been consistent in 12 of those 16 starts putting us in a great position to win everyone of those games. Again he has about a ~2.50 ERA in those 12 starts

He limits the real big damage in blow up games that are already out of hand. Thats to be expected of a 5th starter. So if he can limit it to 6-7 starts of blowing up, then he has the results of a # 2 or 3 starter for the other 25 starts that is blessed. Ill take it. For a 5th starter

Now he does have a FIP in the low 4s in these good starts so I dont have high hopes it will extend to next season. But this season will be a great success.

Never before has a baseball game ended in a score of 25-1 with the visitors winning. However a game has ended 25-1 with the home team winning once, on June 24, 1886 in an American Association game when the Brooklyn Grays beat the Baltimore Orioles 25-1.

This is also the last scorigami since the Braves beat the Marlins 29-9 in Atlanta on September 9, 2020

In the Lions’ “Auto” package, Goff reads the defense and chooses from as many as five plays.

Johnson also has given Goff more responsibility for protections he never had before, though center Frank Ragnow shares the authority. It’s primarily useful for Goff when changing a play, calling a hot or flipping a protection from one side to the other. “It’s a huge piece of his game that is really beginning to excel,” Campbell says.
