First, have everything as close together as possible. For low levels, holes are usually not that good (becuase max pekkas will walk in, even with a crusher max pekkas will sit on)

Like the defenses in the other compartment, put them in one big compartment.

Have your AB and MT both near the BH

usually baby dragons and minions. sometimes if i see a way to get even more value (expose / dismantle farms), i throw in a camp of archers. Since nearly all the bases suck at that range, I average 80-90% with some triples. Of course, thanks to my levels, I get tripled on defense a lot so that was hindering me. To push I think I'd need to have gotten hogs to max, since I noticed a lot of bases that were easy to triple with hogs.

after you've maxed your collectors tho

You can use this base, I don't have max defense and troops though but this takes me to my new personal best up to 4419. If I have max troops or defense, it might take me to 5000++. This base is designed by Nocturne in #builder-base-links and he said its a free pass to 6k

its not unfair. matchups are based on trophies so whoever you find is a fair fight. you wont always be able to find even bh matchups forever. in bb there are more players at higher levels because there isnt any updates so that is just how it works

your trophy count is about like a sum of your offensive and defensive strength (levels) and abilities (skills), so if you find people with a stronger base, it just means you're more skilfful than your opponent

well 2 players with the same base and units will not perform as well

so the one with more skill will win a bit more, and therefore be a little higher in trophies

in "unfair" matches, the opponent is probably very bad at attacking, has an awful base even if maxed etc, basically, (unless they voluntarily drop trophies) you have a 50% chance of winning

MT can be avoided, you can target overload it etc, guard post can't be (except maybe with archers), it will pull units deeper into the base so more defenses shoot, gather troops then AOE defenses deal damage to more units and make unit repartition less optimal, they also waste a lot of damage as in many spam attacks all units will switch target on them (and you don't need to deal 1000 damage to a poor archer) also resulting on all defenses getting more time to shoot

also they aren't targetted by defense-targeting units like giants and hogs, which means if not dealt with, guard post will litteraly deal about as much damage as 5 archer towers constantly shooting your units (and that's a lot)
