The point was to have them be on the edge kinda with a bunch of high damage buildings surrounding them so when the witches are following the hero guy, the mortar is focused on the hero but since they’re close together the mortar does a bunch of damage to the witches as well and they get cleaned up by the double cannons and giant cannon

nahh BH9 is enough. you need builder elixir. I usually used night witch. But if you want fast, you need to surrender after deployment of troops to gather more resources.

It's kinda hard to execute so sometimes I mix it up with cannon carts

My current trophies are 4400 + something in Bh 9

Basically u use cannon carts to destroy air bombs and mega Tesla right

Unless they are placed near mortar or something which can kill ur cannon carts

Well after clearing them out u deploy battle copter in a place where there's least air defenses and stuff

And baby dragons near it , but deploy them carefully , deploy them in such a position that when u use their ability the fire covers a lot of defenses now this part needs practice

If u wanna see sample attacks check out Sumit 007 on YouTube just search baby dragon attack strategy bh 10 sumit 007

But this strategy fails if the first base has lot of air defenses in that case u just use pekka spam strategy you can check that on YouTube too

the worse your defense is, the harder it is because you're just gaining 1 trophy for trading 6 stars

assuming i have time to burn, and really only need elixir, am i better off dropping a troop and surrendering, or getting 2 stars and quitting or fighting out the whole attack? I know that fighting out the whole attack takes the longest, but it should also need the least number of fights since i should be staying neutral or increasing trophies and leagues instead of dropping.

So it should take longer but require less interaction maybe, but kinda curious on other peoples thoughts too, now it is mainly for when i have nothing else really to do and need to farm some builder elixir to still get my 6th builder.

Bh4 then. Honestly not much you can do at such a low builder base level, especially when a lot of your opponents are going to be higher builder bases that are just rushed so they stay low trophies

I guess you could learn how to use your giant abilities better and have archers attach side buildings and funnel into defenses before tanking for them etc.

but I'd say main strategy aspect comes in at bh5/bh6 when you get more units like cannon carts and baby drags and just higher level troops in general

Going up past this point, also really depends on how your defenses are going. If you are 6* most bases, and defending, you'll climb fast

You can 6* every base, and move nowhere, if you are getting smashed every defense

Why am I consistently getting matched up with builder bases that don't have a part 2 to them?

That makes the trophy exchange massively uneven and basically impossible to climb

Since mine has a part 2, all my opponents have a Max of 50 while half the time I have a Max of 30 trophies
