Its definitely worth upgrading as the first building to max after Bob is achieved

With the witches I feel like as long as you can get the major threats (roaster, airbombs, megatesla, and lava launcher) it can be an easy 6 star but I have found that against max bh9’s and 10’s the witches kinda suck cause they can’t take out those major defenses fast enough

place all the new defences, max your storages and collectors, then if you gave to gear up a building then upgrade those while going trough the builder halls, also keep 1 cannon always upgraded cause its the cheapest defence, if you want max your clock tower and gem mine, and dont forget abt the lab, focus on 1 troop and max it everytime

You can do tactical view in builderbase now

just be very careful. if you change a troop you automatically have it selected during the range view

so you will have to press the map once again, and will deploy the troop and there's no way around it

Baby dragon spam until defenses become difficult- around 4400 maybe, just scroll up for vid guide if you are below those trophies. If above cart bbd works amazingly, the youtuber Ashjer has alot of videos on it. If you wanna go the Pekka route the most common approach is: giant, 3 pekkas and 2 bombers

With a early giant ability activation

Pekkas are not nearly tanky enough to be used as a pure spam strstegy

i can say that 1.0 had a wayyy higher skill cap. i played barch attacks where there were many factors to focus on at the same time. baiting every tile of possible trap position, luring guard post optimally while checking for traps, managing crusher, giant cannon, multi mortar, and roaster location so it never locked onto a swarm of barbarians, and having the optimal tanking with battle machine where he could tank splash and avoid enough dps output long enough for barbarians to 3 star the base. i was a top 100 player. now, forget all the different troops and such. most attacks consist of 7-12 troops total. there is much less factors to an attack, and a lot of gameplay has been shifted from momentum, perfect setups, and analysis to sniping buildings and placing only a few troops very very slowly. coming from a top 100, 7000 trophy 1.0 player, and someone who hit 10k in 2.0

oh and also the demographic of top players in the old bb was people who are smart and creative like engineers. i knew lots of people. now, the top players are the people who spend lots of time getting familiar with how to snipe buildings and guess trap locations. there is some skill, but much less. anyone can be a pro if they spend time because most of creativity is gone. this isnt an opinion, its a reasonable, objective observation.

If you try to 6 star every time, you will be playing against people doing the same to you, so you won t get much from defense
If you go to lower trophies and just put 1 troop and surrender, you can do like 5-6 attacks a minute and will get ~40/50k per attack since they will only 1/2 star you

so more attacks + more / same resources = more elixir overall
if you drop too low (which slows down anyway because you don t loose many trophies if you get 1-2 starred) you can start forceclosing and you will start climbing again

I think the biggest problem with builderbase is that its meant to just be a distraction Meanwhile things are happening in main village, thats atleast how it was meant to be.

Instead it takes alot of grinding to get resources, way more time than it takes to get the same in home village (without forceclosing), and upgrades are longer than home village in the end

Its like a worse copy of home village and something should be done to make it more fast paced and more enjoyable

Another thing that makes builderbase kinda boring is that if you have goldpass you wont have to grind resources almost at all

Ive played below 10 games so far this season just for star bonuses, and Im still full of gold halfway in with having 2 defenses upgrading
