Personally I would recommend u don’t spend any gems for now. Wait til the start of next month there will be another event where u can get the meteor staff on the mp for free (u can buy the event pass for ores etc if ur not f2p) and getting staff will allow u to do basically any air attack without needing any more epics than u have, and air attacks are very meta rn

in general (for any new th) build the new stuff, focus on your offensive stuff first like lab, hero hall, army camp, cc , heroes etc and while you upgrade your offense you can have 1 or 2 builders upgrading important defenses like scatter, eagle, inferno, xbow etc

resource collectors are not that important as you can get loot more easily nowadays but you should still try to have them at a decent lvl
