Seeing as a lot of the equipment I need to level is underlevelled. I guess you'd go RC levels with Spear to 9 and E-boots to 6 and then the spiky ball and eq boots up a bit before going back to RC equipment, right?

Since your equipment is kinda low, the best bet is Quad clone mass dragons, very little dependence on equipment and hero levels
Its my personal choice but if you're looking to push in LL in the future the giant arrow and action figure combo has been more consistent for me, the giant arrow damage helps a log launcher take down the Monolith in diagonal bases which is a standard approach for diamond style bases in LL
As for pets if you want to do spirit walks then max out the fox first, that way you don't have to double cycle all the time, you can just use the single cycle (6 0) timing for the spirit walk
The sneezy is a good pet, definitely a better alternative than the electro owl but you can get around it tbh, most people using Spiky ball with EQ boots run the phoenix on the king, frosty on the queen, diggy on the warden
With the troop thrower approach you can take care of most red mines
So I'd say go with quad clone mass drags until you have your spirit fox maxed, then you can slowly move towards Single Overgrowth Root riders (DZ Hawk's army)

And like I said the log launcher will only take care of the mono if the giant arrow has dealt some damage first

Plus in lower legends you may find F2P players with low level crafted defenses
The Queen GA will one shot those as long as the HP is below 1900
Equipments are a very time consuming grind so try to max out stuff that is relevant in multiple meta strategies, you'll see a lot of videos explaining use cases for every equipment but the truth is the dominant armies are RR, Dragons and Fireball Rocketloons or furnaces.

QC Lalo is not a thing in TH17 some players from Endzone clan sometimes use Zap lalo

For LL I like the rocket spear, helps to take out center Townhall bases
And the RC can get ahead of the main push often because of her range so rocket spear helps stall her for a bit and keep her alive

assure your rc is getting good funneling, and then just use that funneling to get the dragons to where you want with ragegem & eternal or ragegem & healingtome

if you are totally f2p it will not make a large difference since you don't get that many magic items. But 1 day longer hero upgrades per book later on if you get 3 hero books every month with goldpass makes a huge difference in the long run
since you'll be playing the game for like 3 years to get up to the highest townhall
but still, rushing a main account and having to keep heroes upgrading straight for like a year is absolutely soul killing and you'll probably quit the game.

I’ve created 7 accounts that I play on every once in a while when it gets boring
I already rushed to th13 to later max it out taking over a year and a half to save it
And I don’t really wanna do that again and that’s why I don’t really rush either
