the quick answer is, it's rough. maxxing out helpers is not great value, the best value stops at level 4 for both helpers
if you upgrade builder helper to max, and put him on heroes 24/7, then it would take 312 days for him to catch up with using books on heroes
helpers are a permanent investment, giving you more returns the longer you play and the longer the game lives. but books are instant and short-term which can be better

Yes but for giant arrow to get maximum value you gotta place the queen on the right tile and press the ability at the correct angle when she's targeting the proper building
