Sorry for the size of this text. I just had a thought. I wanna know what y’all think about it. What if sc did some sort of split trajectory thing with the TH progression. Like rn you have this “line” of progression where you just go thru the THs one after the other. Well what if that “line” branched at TH17 and there were like 2 choices of what you could upgrade to next. And maybe they could even leave the whole numbers scheme behind and instead of a single TH17 there would be like 2 new ones introduced, (TH left and TH right as examples) and when you upgraded you’d have to choose which way you wanted to go and they wouldn’t be the same. They would actually have different changes. That way you could find opponents the “same level” as you but with fundamentally different bases. And depending on which one you chose you’d get maybe different “perks” like your air defenses would be changed to a type of ground defense and your base would no long be able to be attacked by air units. So like someone could come with a mixed army of ground and air and they would only be able to deploy the ground units if they decided to attack. There would be a few things to balance ofc but that isn’t anything new to the game. It spices things up and makes maxing and battling more interesting again for the maxed out players. People couldn’t just rush thru the new TH and get bored immediately, bc now there would be entirely new strategies to sus out. And base designs to make and game mechanics to master. Which again, that’s not something sc hasn’t done before. The THs wouldn’t have to look completely different. Like they could use the same design and stats for most of the buildings new levels for both THs. A few of the buildings might get some variation like the TH itself to indicate which one it is. But they wouldn’t have to make 2 entire new levels of THs. They could still be mostly similar just with maybe a few different buildings and perks.

Basically instead of just pumping out another new TH every year, they keep it interesting by giving people a choice of two different directions they could go with the game. Kinda like what they did with the ricochet cannon and the multi archer tower, but if they had continue to give levels to the standard cannons and archer towers. They already changed the game in a similar way to what I’m thinking.
