Hi, I’ve been working on this NL dreadnought, I want my dreadnought’s gold to look less chrome-agnostic than my other NLs but so far, it’s a little too shiny and polished for my liking. Any tips to get it to look good?

Share some references on the style you’re after and it will be easier to give suggestions for an approach.
Very generally speaking, washes and inks are popular ways of darkening metals, creating variation and making them look less clean.

Yeah, it’s a little hard to define isn’t it? I had a little problem with the blues but they look nice now, the other metallics are fine, and although they still need a little touch up, I LOVE my skeleton freehand.
