#Anyone have experience with larger resin figures with pegs that don’t properly fit?

Tldr;

Wanting to paint a Mirko figure soon, got everything printed, but the pegs and holes aren’t perfect. Was told to sand/trim parts to get them to fit right, but videos I’ve found aren’t quite good enough for me to understand. If anyone has time to live help me in vc, that’d be greatly appreciated. Pics for reference

You might have to grind away resin or fill gaps

#

Or even use a heat gun to bend parts

#

It's pretty uncommon for a large figure to just snap together with 0 issues

#

The sanding and trimming doesn't really need a video

#

If a piece/part blocking a clean connection , you grind/cut/sand it off

You just do it

#

Not really like a defined path since every part of every model is different

#

Gap filling, you can find videos on

#

The rest is just removing material when you think it needs to be

Literally just attack it and choose the piece you think will go best at it

#

Just go slow and test fit

#

Idk how else to explain it. Like trying to explain how to sand something flat.

#

It's a lot harder to overthink this than under think it

I seem to be defying logic then lol

#

Maybe this will make it easier for me. Do you notice a particular piece I should use to try to get things to fit?

The one that fits in the spot you are trying to grind/sand down and will give you the general profile you need

#

I know this seems nebulous but it's really just choosing something that fits and giving it a shot

#

Going too small just means it'll take longer

#

Like the buffing wheels won't do anything

The leg part in particular here

#

And arm connection here, can’t quite get it

That's when it's the most annoying. I would probably grind down whatever is the most hidden away

#

That way if you make a mistake you can just fix it easy without needing to match the exterior

Gotcha. Any indication to shave the top of a peg? Due to depth issue maybe
