Hey all! I am currently working on this little guy. Most things are just basecoated to block in some colors. Cloak, chainmail and the face are basically done.
I am however really not happy with the face. It looks quite weird but cant point my finger on what is wrong exactly.
Any advice? What and how can I improve it?
It is really, really small.

Thank you! 🙂

I like your mini! I think the black on the eyes is a bit too stark and it makes it look like his mascara is running. A darker brown skintone might work better.

I would start by painting the eye sockets (which is an area bigger than the eyeball, going from just above the cheek to the eyebrow) in this darker color, then I would paint the eye in, and then I would inch closer from below with the regular skintone to avoid giving him bags under his eyes.

If you're looking for some better guides, both Miniac and Erik Swinson have good videos on painting tiny/warhammer faces.

You could also add a very small amount of red to your skintone to color his lips without making them look like lipstick

Ty for the video recommendation, I will check them out.
Dark brown instead of black sounds interesting, I will try that out.
