I need a black base color. Preferably Matte Black. Not sure if it's easily doable with Speedpaint black without looking uneven, or if I should get an acrylic black paint. I'd prefer an army painter style bottle if possible because of my storage solution, but I just want whatever is going to be easy to pour, wet brush with, and just put it on in hopefully one pass and look even.

I think almost any black paint on the market will do what you ask. All the dropper bottles have nearly identical diameter.
Avoid Vallejo Model Color and Citadel, since their blacks are more grey.
Pro Acryl coal black is, in fact, not coal black. Also avoid that one
I like the adepticon black from pro acryl but it does dry satin
I can’t remember the name tho
Do apple barrel
Yea giant bottle of it and get some empty dropper bottles and a bit of flow improver because AB is thick. I use apple barrel for my bases, have done it for years.
Thanks all. I went with another recommendation of Vallejo black and thinned it down (first time thinning paints) and did 2 coats. I love how it turned out.
Here is one with the base finished and a coat of matte rattle can varnish from Walmart .
I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Mods, not sure if I need to somehow mark this thread as solved/answered or how to do that???
Here is the black I used
