One is close to finished, going to clean things up and complete to base. Will be my 3rd completed mini. Starting the other one this afternoon, primed and ready to go! Any tips for either will help greatly. debating trying things such as feathering on the next one. Thank you for your time!

I'm not that good of a painter yet but one thing I would recommend is to push the contrast more than you think is needed. This is my very first warhammer model that I did a few touch ups on a few years ago, while the application isn't the smoothest the contrast between the dark red to orange makes it pop.
Wow! That looks amazing, thank you for sharing and the tips! How did you achieve that kind of blending?
I think I tried doing some kind of feathering, my technique wasn't that good but I used ~4 colours, which helped with the smoothness.
As a base I had mephiston red that was heavily washed with nuln oil. Then a big highlight with mephiston red, evil sunz scarlet and lastly an orange colour.
Thinning out the paint a bit more than usual also helps make the transition a bit smoother, both by making the jump in colour not as big and also any mistakes you make won't be as noticeable
Awesome! Thanks so much. When in the process did you do the feathering if you remember? After basing?
Yeah this model was complete when I did that as it was previously painted only with mephiston red. I just decided to repaint it one day
