1st (scratched) and 2nd (clean) atttempts at NMM. what am I missing? In the Second picture I tried to make my transitions more contrasted! Thanks!

You could glaze some dark blue or green in the shadow parts

But your looking at it longer and upclose

60cm away it looks like reel polished metal
