Attempt 2, first one was going with an ice-blue which totally looked naf so did a quick colour blocking black/green scheme would work.

Decided the scheme had promise, so started work on the wings.. had a touch too much thinner in the paint and did not wait long enough between coats.. so have a couple of repairs to attend to before I continue feathering the edges.. will also use a slightly lighter shade of purple for the shadows..

Threw some more paint at the dragon.. mostly experimenting for the large scales..

Dry brush to pick out the scales before the glaze and also did some work on the head..

Applied a quick wash to the body (wings pending) to smooth things out.. and brightened up spines

Bit more work done.. think I over pigmented the wash for the scales.. not decided what I am going to do with the spines...

A couple of washes and some highlights left to do.. working out the base at the moment..
