#Forest-Along March-April

Thx psykka
Iβll probably join as well
I'll join this one - think I've got a Reaper peryton I need to do
This is the guy who's been sitting on my table to be gap filled for way too long. Need to make up some milliput and go under his wings.
He's so cool! Where's he from?
I'm wondering now if this is the peryton that Tars was talking about; I got him from the Dreadmere expansion of Reaper's Bones IV Kickstarter some years ago, I always just figured he was supposed to be some sort of celestial stag
that is precisely the one I was talking about π
It looks like they have another older one in the catalog, but this one never made it to release
This will be mine for this along
working on that one right now as part of the all-out-war
Finished this one for the AoW so not eligible for this along, but curious to see what colours you choose for yours π
Wont start till next month but this is my refernce
Joining with my Galadriel, lady of the golden wood trivial pursuit piece that I told myself I would have painted checks watch 2 years ago
Itβs some kind of lady thing in a forest so it should work
I will paint her and her little friends β€οΈ
What's it from? I like her little bird friends
https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-forest-dryad-kits-32mm-scale-297357
It's from labyrinth miniatures :)
I love her and I'm very hyped to paint her
AΒ setΒ ofΒ 3 highly detailed kits that let you build mini-dioramas of Dryads in different settings: surrounded by small animals, commanding killer plants, and summoning forest spirits.
Please note that two of the Dryads can be printed and assembled individually, without the larger diorama base.
The models are provided with both presupported and un...
Starting mine
Apart from the base, calling this one about done
@tepid sluice curious to see what colours you pick for yours π
Yellow
Finally got around to rubbing up some milliput and trying to cram it in there; give it a night or two to set and see if it sets up right; first time working with it specfically
don't forget the wolf's nose - otherwise, looks great!
Just finished my lady of vines
Started laying down paint
Finished.
ooo, I like your mask better than mine
Got some swamp thing/poison ivy vibes
Gave it a flowery forest base
Yours feels much more magical forest spirit, which is what I thought it was originally.
I like yours as well. Looks more like an actual creature than an ethereal thing
Work in progress π²
Lets see if I can finish this dryad for this.
Yay, now her friends are painted too π
Gentle feedback is much appreciated β€οΈ it's my 9th mini
Love the color pallet. Very well balanced and looking good together. Good collor placement too. Lovely painting.
My dryad will have a lot of the green brown and collorshifts too. Pretty much same colors.
I like it!
Seconded on the colour palette - great choices!
If you're looking to improve, I think your next step is to start adding more depth by increasing contrasts. People are often afraid of doing so thinking it will look cartoony. Push the shadows and the highlights
Thank you very much!!
I look forward to seeing the dryad painted :)
And I will definitely try using more contrast, sounds manageable for me!
Thank you for taking your time to look at my mini π
Little teaser (the rest is still in baselayers).
Awesome eyes!
really captured the disdain towards my work π
are we allowed to paint multiple minis for the same paint-along?
I would like to paint her next:
I already primed them and started by gluing the lynx to the base πΏ
You can paint as many as you want, but can only get the bonus points for participating once
okidoki, thank you :)
Rawr.
would not have thought that tail would end there based on the base colours. Nice work!
Awesome work! I love the colors with the base too.
Hello folks, I'll be entering with this big treeman
Thank you! He definitely suffered from not having a clear mental roadmap of where I wanted him to end, but I'm pretty happy all the same π
Thank you! He's a pretty fun sculpt that I'd paint again if they decided to release him π
a Summer Slyph from Reaper
beautiful!
Thank you. Tried to see how lively and visually intresting I could get it with just 6 paints: olive green, deep green, beastly brown, oak brown, ice yellow and black
i think you achieved both :)
went poison Ivy for this. thinking where I could add more visual interest
will probably switch out the gold bangle for a more bronze one since it kinda blends in with the skin. given i went with a yellowish green
adding a flower or something similar to the base could work
I'm happy to report: the treeman is finished
woaaaaaaah! β€οΈβπ₯ that bark
<Large angry tree fellow has entered the chat>
WIP.
I love your tree people!
Can this Tree count as entry?
<@&266397596476506113>
Is a tree made from scrap pieces
@acoustic iris
sure
Great!
As it's my first entry here, do I need to post also in #request-points ?
Thanks in advance π
yes, state that you're doing it for the paint along when you do
Added a bit of colour. It's moving along......
Too much? Might've gone a bit nuts pushing the contrast....
I'm in lovee with the light blue color
Thanks! The sword and face need some edge highlighting, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Going to be entering with this wood elemental thing
I like to think the nurgling died happy. Base from scratch.
Thoughts?
looks good to me, Chi
1+ weeks left for everyone else!
nice lookin tree
Joining in the last second.
You paint way too quickly, LW. I'm envious
Done. I used speed paints and added more highlights. Wanted to finish them today
all done!
posting in every along - dang, mak!
i select my minis for the alongs haha
got enough from BonesV and 6 to hit a wide range of categories
Sassy tree! Very nice!
