Hey all. Want some help on these Angels of Absolution. I feel that they are gritty and the wrong color.

Primed in Gray, two thin coats of Two Thin Coats Dragon Fang. Watered down skeleton horde then dry Brushed and highlighted.

Do I change the prime color? What else can I do?

Your colors look correct. Might need to go one step higher on the highlights. Grittiness is due to either your primer being applied roughly or junk on the model itself

Junky models that are third hand.

Well, it looks like somebody used superglue at some point in assembly

Unless you want to spend ages filing it down I’d use these as testers

I have another tester that is two coats of the lightest white that TTC offers. Then two other test models are zenithal primed with gray then wraithbone and the last in sprayed with AK Dunkelgelb

Primer color really only matters so much…if you want really bright, saturated colors it can be helpful to start at light grey/white. But you can always work up from black just using some opaque layers
