Hey all, just going to use this to track my progress, first time painting a mini in many years, and with the new Army Painter Fanatic paints. This was what I got done tonight. I used some metallic paints, I do want to try NMM eventually on these guys.

I tried to do some edge highlighting, but I'm going to have a long trip ahead of me. So feel free to give any constructive feedback as i definitely wish to improve! Thanks for all who check this out. Sorry that the photos aren't great lighting is crap at the moment lol

Nice. I started on these ones too.

Looks like you've maybe gone a bit heavy with the gold paint. You'll often get a much better finish if you use multiple coats without worrying about full coverage on the first pass. Just get a smooth flat coat and come back later with another to get the coverage.

To be fair it doesn't look like it was a very nice paint to work with. But yeah slower build up is better in most cases. Just make sure you let it dry fully in between.

This is the new Army Painter Fanatic. I personally felt like the other paints were very smooth but something about the metallics when I thinned I didn't like. I'm not sure if they have their own medium that they recommend for thinning or not yet.I should check
