Yeah. I have a significant amount in tubs on top of bookshelves in my loungeroom, another significant amount in the garage at my mothers house (again in tubs) and a third very large quantity in component trays next to my painting area. It actually doesn't look so bad from the outside - but the fact that a lot of it is actual piles of pewter and plastic figures not in sprues means it is a lot in not much space.

I also use closed tubs. I bought some clearish plastic tubs and glued metal sheets to the bottoms. That way I can magnetize mini bases and not worry about accidental bumps. Only the finished minis go into the shelf tubs though.

As a board game mini painter... who's also a slow painter... 1 box might take me a few years to get through. It is not the intent, but he is worried it will affect my hobby. Not being able to buy something and feeling like I don’t have what I need may cause me to avoid painting. He said that I paint less in the past months.
He is right, but it is mostly because of stress at work. Also, I’m painting minis for a friend and for some reason I take my time with it…

Still, in the past months I felt like I was forced to get better in some aspects (where usually I’ll buy things that make my life easier).

The nearest I have from a Payne's grey is AK 3rd Strong dark blue, and it's not dark enough

for a competition piece, it's better to mix your own. For a tabletop piece, grab a bottle and "close enough" it

mixing your own is better and you can control the exact pigments being used, which gives you greater colour control

but it's also a massive time sink, hence I have 50 bottles of paint on my desk for my day-to-day 🙂

If it's a colour that is massively used, I would suggest to buy some empty dropper bottles, and mix enough to have at least half the bottle, or even a full bottle.

Overgrowth? The rabbit fighting game? They patched it a few times after the hype it had early so it doesn't suck anymore but I still wouldn't recommend it. That said they released it for free outside of steam which is pretty cool.

@versed vigil Numbass question: Out of all the Ma.k, is 1/12 or 1/20 available in other kits?
I'm thinking if i do get one, would it be like a one off thing cause there is rarely if ever anything else in the same scale, or is there more readily available stuff in the same size?

This week I pulled out some old ship minis I was doing for a nautical campaign, I finished them up, then discovered I had the wrong set! I have a later set that is bigger. So now I have to paint those too. Oh well, I will have lots of these things if we ever get back to that campaign, it has been over a year.
