I have 3 "passions" dwarves, goblins (or really all greenskins, but goblins most) and cute stuff. If done in a slightly exaggerated "commicbook" style I am even more enthousiastic. I also always have way more fun painting stuff like that.
Artisan guild has a lot I love, so its good that they do not have a physical store I could just walk into or I would be broke as hell due to impulse buys.

i wouldnt use iso over acrylic. You can use any medium you have, like glaze or matte medium as a fixer. You can also apply with water and lock it down with varnish. You can also apply dry and lock it down with varnish (if you dont mind blowing some away)

Like pigment powder? I usually dust it on with a brush after varnishing the model. Then I spray some isopropyl alcohol on it. You may have to repeat this process a few times but varnish will dull it down a lot more than the iso.

The iso helps bind it.

I use a similar bottle to this.

You just want a fine mist of iso.

Bear in mind iso is what typically use to strip minis. So as Jatbi was saying, there's other options or take it easy and test it on something to know the limitations.

These, plus proacryl black wash, ratling grime and tamiya black panel liner as an optional final step in a couple of places:

Method:
esentially over black primer, heavy drybrush of dark bronze, then random heavy drybrushing of Amethyst/Cobalt alchemy to add colour interest and variety to the metal. then drybrush entirely downwards of necro gold then once again randomly applied Aeldari Emerald, Sigvald Burgundy and a 50/50 mix of both which produces like a dark blue-purple
then drybrush up through the four gold-ish colours on the right, then the 50/50 mix of ratling grime and black, thinned out slightly, then pick out highlights on the sharpest edges in citrine and white alchemy
oh and then because I wanted a bit more definition in some places I hit some of the super notable recesses with tamiya black panel liner

If you wanted a more simplified version you could probably cut citrine, amethyst and cobalt alchemy and just do:
Overbrush Dark Bronze
Drybrush downwards Necro Gold
Random application of the two(plus mix) contrast colours thinned out slightly
Drybrush necro gold again
Light Drybrush peridot alchemy
50/50 mix black wash/ratling grime
Edge highlights w/ peridot alchemy
Extreme point highlights w/ white alchemy
Optional panel liner step if you want more separation

Well, I'm self-taught at just about everything in my life, and at 38 years old I've learned that some things definitely require tuition to progress. It's really easy to hit a plateau and not understand how you got there or how to leave. I had the same thing with my guitar playing and it took like 3 lessons to fix it lol. Just having someone really experienced go over your technique and point out areas of change can be invaluable.

I would posit that is also depends on technique. You can only teach what you know so it is only going to really push your technique if you find someone who paints better than you in the same way. It is valuable to learn other styles and techniques, but it will be of limited value on the higher end of talents.
I.e. if you wet blend a lot and need to improve there, a dry brush master will be of very limited help

Personally I'd rule it as money already allocated previously. Shipping is pretty much always a cost down the road for something you picked up previously in a KS
