Looks like your primer is peaking through a bit in places. This is usually undesirable and would require one ore two more coats, but that's an individual judgment call. No right or wrong.
Don't worry if you feel it's messy, it always is at some point. You just go back in with your black and clean up when you're ready.
Then sometimes it's a little back and forth, if you mess up the black.

thank you. i just noticed the photo isnt so clear. ill go back and clean up the areas i wasnt suppose to get paint on. then work on another part of the model
