First time using a light box. It doesn't look great to me. Maybe its because I bought a cheap one from Amazon (but had lots of good reviews) or maybe its just my imagination and it actually looks fine. Any tips for using light boxes or general tips for mini photography?

they just look dark. as if the light isnt strong neough to illuminate them properly
Hey hey! So you will want a light shining fown onto your minis from the front
You may have to also adjust your camera settings ( phone settings) to get the best results
Not sure If the inside of your lightbox allows you to move the lights around
I don't know much about phone cameras or cameras in general. Any recommended settings?
What phone do you have?
If you have an android. The easiest thing to do. Is go to the camera app. Instead of selecting photo/ video. Go to the most left and click on more. Then select pro option that will show up
Modify your settings so the iso is 100 ( or as close as you can get it.
Then adjust your white balance to reflect your light
You are going to want to flood your minis with light
And then adjust the speed until you get the proper color balance
Your ev might be in tbe -2. Or-1.5 range and that's okay
thank you your advice helped tremendously. much happier with the results !
