Any sort of criticism or suggestions really. I'm not actually happy with it and I don't know why. I'd like to know what I did wrong it could do better, in addition to maybe details I could add, or missed while I was painting, etc..

Side note: The priming/basecoat were airbrushed on. The black on the gun, and the red and yellow were brushed on. I'm not happy with how textured the coats are. I suspect I could improve the consistency of my paint, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if I should just add more water, or try something like glaze medium in small amounts.
Hey hey! So first thing. It looks like you mostly just did a solid base coat for the red / yellow areas.
Normally you want to thin your paints a bit. It might require more layers but you won't have any chunks / chunky looking areas.
You have some.nice edge highlights on the armor in some areas but none in others ( like the helmet area] .
You could also do a wash to have give it some.darker areas. Normally your want at least.3 colors ( a highlight / a mid tone(or base color( and shadow ) for each area.
Otherwise you got some nice brush control!
Thanks for the advice. I want to improve my paint consistency, but I'm not sure how. I do add water, but it feels like if I add anymore, I get really poor coverage, or in some cases, it just runs off. Do you know how I could learn to improve my consistency?
It's okay if it's poor coverage. It's best to do multiple thin layers to build up that solid opacity
You don't want it to be like just water mind you.
