It is a french tank I think. I know nothing about tanks so, I chose it because it looked like a generic tank… and it was available 😉
The tracks are just the rubber ones that came with the kit. I thought about getting nicer ones, but decided against it. I dont think better tracks will matter in this project anyway.

It's just hard to keep paint stuck to the rubber sometimes. On my tracks I was testing the flex cause they were TIGHT and I pulled it apart lol
I'm not a big tank geek either, but I get enough exposure anymore that sometimes it clicks.

Love how vibrate the orange glow is. Had to double-take to realize you'd replaced the barrel with the brush ferrule too. Happy coincidence? Looks like it's a perfect fit

Put a bit more work into this project today. Sculpted a blob of paint and worked on the backdrop a bit. Trying to harmonise the colours a bit and get the backdrop to frame the tank in the best possible way.

The piece definately makes an inpression from across the room. Propably because i put down the initial layers with cadmium red, orange and yellow oil paints. Those pigments are really really vibrant - and even more so in oil paint.
