Never seen beeswax used. I just use VMS Oil Expert as an accelerant and matting agent https://www.vms-supplies.com/product-page/vms-oil-expert-media

Usually if you need the finish changed, a varnish afterwards is what most people do
How toxic is this stuff? The other two I looked at that made oils more matte were like waaaay more toxic than what I normally use.
The thing I liked about the potential for beeswax was that it wouldn't be dangerous
But yeah, might just have to use my regular acrylic varnishes
I'm not sure. I don't remember it being any fumey er than Gamsol. If you are airbrushing oil wash, I'm not sure it would take any additional PPE than what you should already be using for that.
So idk what you are asking. More toxic than what's already used for oil paint? Likely not.
Sweet! Yeah, Gamsol's my baseline
Now I am at my desk. Just took a whiff and it definitely has a smell, but it isn't bothering me as much as Tamiya plastic cement or panel liner or the stronger odorless spirits that we use for enamel washes sometimes
And I'm very sensitive to this stuff (may be developing a reaction) so I should be a good canary.
