So, it’s actually pretty solid! The glue is a bit more viscous so I haven’t had to really press the pieces together to get them to hold. I have to wait a bit longer for the final set but it’s pretty sturdy once bonded. I’m actually pretty pleased!

Yesterday I cleaned out the holes on the back of my tree dude where the branches are supposed to go. Today I cleaned and shaped the bottoms of the branches to fit into the tree guy. And glued them in. I’ll have to touch up the primer tomorrow.

Hi my friend! I buy a piece from a lumberyard and ask them to cut it into strips. The one I usually use the most is 3x3 cm, about 1.5 meters long, but I do the same with 3.5x3.5 cm and 4x4 cm. Then I slice and sand it with a hand saw. Since I do it myself, it's not such a time-consuming process. Over the years, I've ended up abandoning the idea of ​​getting someone to cut it for me, because I always end up dissatisfied with the end result, and if it doesn't turn out well, I know who's to blame.
