#Getting dark crevices with wash? while keeping surface somewhat clean?

Hi I've attached some images, the first is sort of what I'd want, a clean white surface with dark crevices between panels, and the 2nd/3rd image is my model that I've made

Ive tried things like Nuln oil before, and while it has its place I feel like it tints the rest of the surface no matter how fast I try to remove excess.

I have seen "Alcohol Ink" mentioned and was wondering if thats perhaps what I should go for? (seen the long work-time + ability to reactivate with alcohol making it good for cleaning) or if theres perhaps something else I should look at?

I know some people draw them in by hand but im not steady enough that it will look good

oil or enamel washes are really good for this as you can clean them up with white spirit - just be sure to varnish the model beforehand so you don't accidentally strip the paint on the panels

if you want to stick to acrylics though, then I'd say use something with a good flow like contrast/speedpaint/whatever other versions are about and then go back and tidy up the panels with the original colour

For the model kit, check out panel liners

Works for deeper recesses on minis as well
