Hello, I'm wondering how I can make the same rubble effect for my warhammer bases and my 2001 Invasion of Afghanistan dioramas, or just SCI-FI bases like Pegasus hobbies Tripod model kit with the vallejo range of paints, I know how to apply a wash and drybrush, how can I achieve the same rubble effect this guy did with the vallejo range of paints? Btw, whoever did this, really good job.

some of the vallejo diorama effects and some different sized rocks. You can get different grades of ballast from railway hobby stores for that.
For the craters looks like a hole has been dug out then the diorama effects paste put in to create the smoother shape.
Paint colour wise you'll want some greys that aren't just flat. ones with a bit of warmth and coolness to blend together and stipple. Plus a few sandy tones and some browns for scattered dirt.
Something else that's important for natural looking rocks and concrete is green. an ink or a wash that you can blend in here and there to build up the staining that plant matter leaves.
when you describe grey paint that isn't too flat, wdym?
