Gaining power, getting to higher crafting tiers, unlocking gear tiers and perks, all with less time. It’s pay to win dressed up as a booster.
Less mats while leveling crafting = less gold spent or less time gathering mats than someone who’s not paying for boots.
More xp for doing the same thing as someone else, and getting more perks, more health/stamina, better armor tiers and perks, you’re getting more powerful with less time spent.
It’s not outright buying tier 5 gear, or buying perk points, but you’re purchasing your own economy and progression modifiers.
It ventures into the territory of game balancing around the boosters instead of the player experience. It will not encourage new players to play GV. If the game is depending on cosmetic purchases and supporter purchases to survive, xp boosters aren’t the way to go. It’s gameplay affecting, not cosmetic or convenience.
If they aren’t removed, make them purchasable with in game currency and not just premium.
