Ive died plenty of times playing recently and imagining myself crafting gear every time I died would be TERRIBLE for this game. Probably would have logged a few times but since I didnt lose anything I kept playing. At the end of the day you do STILL lose something. If your side isnt good enough to hold a fort you will lose it no matter what gear you have. New players will drop this game. Game like this you have to try your best to keep alive and escape the niche. Full loot is opposite of that.

To the devs: nobody is asking for full loot, people are asking for the partial loot system to be expanded back into the outer ring and not just in the center. Most vets agree that this was when the game was most fun, and the game going f2p means that a lot more people will be coming in and out and GV wasn’t really built to house tens of thousands of players, a few thousand is good enough for most of us

In the game Anvil Empires (which is full loot) their logistics and crafting people fill their keeps with useable armor instead of like us in GV throwing armor food etc away in the bastion where no one actually uses it. Might be a nice way to make basic t3 and t4 crafting relevant and keep fighters basically geared up enough to fight

I mean outer ring could give you less points when looting, for example 4 points you you can steal gloves/helm/shoes but can t expensive chest and pants

You are harming the game with improper wording, spreading rumours that there is a "possibility of full loot" which is enough to drive away large audience before the game even starts

Stop griefing, take some responsibility for your own words

#

Partial loot is the system

#

It served GV well for many years, being the compromise between keep inventory and lose inventory system

0% consequences for pve death

Minimal consequences for pvp death (down to 1 item!!!)

Very unique and I dare say intimate experience when you finally get to kill somebody

# grand matrix Nobody plays mortal online 2 though. You dont either or youd play that instead o...

I do play mortal online 2, it’s possible to play more than one game. Also when we look at player counts on average mortal online 2 has been more popular in than GV. Also why do you assume that keeping the loot zone as it is would make more money because attracting a wider audience does not translate to dollars made (and more niche games attract more diehard fans), and in most free games a few people pay for almost everybody else (those people probably are going to be vets who prefer a bigger loot zone). I’m not advocating that full loot be anywhere near GV though, I enjoyed the partial loot system and I think most vets agree that when it covered most of the map that was whe the game was most fun, but I suppose if we look at the numbers maybe it should have full loot because that seems to get more average players, even though most vets do not want that (including myself).

400 players is literally worse than some games released 30 years ago

visual nymph
# grand matrix False. Mortal Online 2 averages 800 players a day max, and that's only in recent...

For the vast majority of GVs life it has averaged between 300-400 players. For most of mortals life it has averaged 400-600+ with heavy variations (some months 400 then the next 600 and the next 800) with all pre 2025 months being 600+ and all pre September 2024 months being 800+. Both games had/have a box price. And if we compare the post 1.0 numbers for both games mortal also wins, and has a slower drop off as GV drops to 500 in 3 months and mortal doesn’t reach those numbers until a few years after

#

GV has always been a more “dead game” than mortal online, and since you probably don’t want to play a dead game why don’t you leave

GV will be f2p, and it was always the better game regardless. It had low pop due to being unknown by almost everyone. It had 0 marketing. Mortal Online is going to die like it should. It's a bad game with a bad system. If you want to play Mortal Online 2 though, go do that. Stop trying to change GV into that. Full loot PvP games always die out without fail. Even partial loot PvP games struggle to gain any traction. Companies exist to make money, and full loot just doesnt do it.

#

Loot pants in the LZ like everyone else, except it's always dead here because nobody else comes in to fight

#

You guys are like "loot zone is too small and it's a ghost town where nobody fights, let's make it much larger so that the entire map is a ghost town instead"

And if mortal went f2p it would become even more popular than gv, you can’t say that just because you like a game better it is a better game, and if we go by the numbers more people have thought that mortal is a better game than gv. Nobody here has ever argued for full loot and most people want to go back to a time when GV was the most popular which included the outer circle being a loot zone (around 2021, post launch doesn’t count as those numbers would
Have probably settled around the numbers of before)

I like taking loot because I don’t like crafting

Which makes players not want to pursue crafting in large numbers

As its a lot of work for benefits that will evaporate

But once the launch is for reals guilds will claw onto these castles for their dear life I promise

Maybe a good compromise is make deadly harvest have full loot zone (partial loot everywhere) to kinda up the stakes
