build fobs would be cool for sieges

What kind of building are we talking about? I'd like to know a bit more before I say I'm on board.
Especially since while I enjoyed building mechanics in Planetside 2, it did kind of tank performance lol
Gloria Vicits has a Free Building system that allows players to build their own castles in a way they like. It is available on the Guild Island. Here you can see castles which the community built in the past for the contest.

Today is an exciting day and we are happy to announce that from today to the end of the current month (31.07.2023) we are starting a new contest related to Guild Castles and Free building. Your goal is to build the best-looking castle so this means that decorations are allowed. Your creativity is the only limit. We prepared rewards for 3 guilds ...
pls pls pls remove this feature PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Remove the island, bring back SoW!
Instead make islands for guilds to go full creative mode, have it like a guild halls, gathering before an event, players housing, mini arena with adjustable rules. And make a lot of furnitures and decoration stuff that we could buy (real money).
Every season we showcase the top guild castle, give some gold to the winner.
I feel like keeping guild islands and returning to sow map is going to make the game feel super dead I would get rid of guild islands entirely we don’t need the entire map empty because everyone is in their island and free build sucks for the record
BTW who gave this idea (guild islands) to BEG in the first place?
new players/guilds that wanted to experience land ownership but couldn't compete with big guilds full of vets
It’s not a bad idea in a large community gv just doesn’t have the players, maybe we’ll get a bunch of people on relaunch and it will be fine
It was a good idea, only instead of adding a working system they replaced a working but unfair thing with an incomplete mechanic.
7 guild castles or 9 i can't remember
and two guild castles per guild
Also guilds arguing about who gets what was annoying to be honest
Pretty much you're fighting your own nation half of the time
9 total but 3 forts that no one really want to upgrade so 6 castles that could be defended
so one guild per nation gets to own and keep the land
Yea whole problem more player on said server more toxic stuff goes on
so 1 or 2 dude per nation touch freebuilding
You can’t convince me guild islands work with the normal gv player base even if it was flushed out and complete
Now with a flux of new guys like new beginnings had sure I can see it
It could work and there will no issues with fps or lag when half of the stuff the server is networking is gone
Yeah but then you get an empty world
Most other MMO have guild islands
It's just GV it's been gutted 😄
Most other mmos have thousands of players too
Most mmo are tab target or action combat
I just think GV with looting and direction may cause less players to play it
no other mmos has thousands of players fighting in real time on an open world map afaik.
True most have MMO have little server conntced to each other 😄
There’s got to be a way to fix the lag without compromising for a worse system overall that’s all I’m saying
I'm saying there is never going to be a fix for it.
it's either lose players over the crashes or have instance guild castles for the time being or split the map up into servers
Like LiFmmo
Why can’t they fix the lag?
And crashes etc
Definitely can’t instance the map I don’t think anybody wants that
Money and time pretty much 😄
I don’t expect them to have the old sow on launch but I would like to push for it long term
Yea just at the moment i don't have any hopes 😄
Q: Will old game features like State of War return?
