Having one universal server would be great!
Implement a translate into the chat feature so the chat translates to the players selected language
I want to believe they will have servers that can hold many players, at least like before, and not many small servers with only about 100 players each, because that would ruin the game.
NO to universal server. Regional.
Why not? If I may ask. I too am concerned about 2 things:

Consistent ping: I would rather have a high ping that I get used to, than have to worry about it changing down the line
Really with the higher internet speeds being offered why not.
Ping is too important in GV. If there was only a EU server, NA and Asia players would be screwed.
I guarantee you wouldn't agree to this idea if the server was in SEA.
As someone who played on all servers, it's very obvious. Anything over 100 is noticeable and anything over 140-150 gives an obvious disadvantage.
Ask any EU guy who played during the SoWs in SEA and you'll get a more clear answer.

why? Ive played War Thunder on their European server on my cheap internet in the states 200mbs speeds. Just played World of Tanks on the South Amercian server with no problem

Unlike shooters like World of Tanks, where you and your enemy can fire projectiles at each other and die simultaneously, GV has a mechanism that interrupts current actions. High latency not only prevents you from defending against enemies (even if you press the corresponding block button, you'll still be attacked), and allows you to be kicked from a distance, but it also slows down your movements (from pressing the left mouse button to releasing it and then the character actually performing the attack).
This game isn't one of those FPS games with high latency compensation. I do know GV has latency compensation, but the allowed compensation value is very low. It only allows you to die simultaneously with an enemy whose latency differs by as much as 13ms.
This game can't possibly allow high latency compensation. If it did, you'd see all sorts of bizarre phenomena on the battlefield, such as being kicked by an enemy 2.5 character sizes away, or being attacked from behind by an enemy far away while trying to escape.
The comment above is entirely correct. If you're in a network environment with a latency of 180 milliseconds and your opponent has a latency of 60 milliseconds, even if your personal skill is far superior, you'll still find it very difficult to beat them. Let alone playing against an equally skilled opponent in a high-latency environment.
This is the only thing that could get me to not play this game

I remember fighting a lot of australian players on the NA server. I could kick or shield bash them whenever I wanted to. I literally toyed with them. Not fun

I played on NA for quite a while from AU, if youre good from playing on lower ping you can definitely hold your own
but vsing anyone else who is actually decent you will lose everytime
imo anything over 240ms the game just starts to completely break

well when youre from europe and your worst server was 200 ping you dont really see the problem with this
and just the automatic assumption things wont change for them themself

I was getting 120 ping to legacy server. ( only 40 ping to na NB ) and It was like night and day. The whole timing of everything is off
its interesting how much ihear people say 100+ is terrible
If you are someone who chambers a lot it’s gonna get you hit from the timing being slightly off
all my friends and I played SEA with 130-140
and it felt fine
as if nothing was wrong
You got used to those timings though. I got used to 45 so 100+ feels weird to me

i actually found consistently chambering easier on 240 ping (na) then doing it on sea with 140 lol
it just felt like the chmabering window was so much larger for some reason
notice it in play world of tanks over 112 at 120 forget it XD

The only people who say that are ones who don't play it regularly.
You can notice it low 100s but it's not that bad. I played on NA from SEA and thought it was fine, although I could notice the difference.
But once you get in high 100s or get rubberbanding going on... it's not so fun
My best score in VoD was when I played in SEA with like 300 ping. I assume its because I was used to peaker's advantage in Planetside 2. But it was jank

I'd say the game ceases to function properly past 80 ping, thats when you start to feel the difference in timing
I found the sweet spot for me is about 165-175 anything more and I don’t think I have time to block some swings
It’s not blocking that’s a problem. It’s releasing block. For me anyways
Anything under 150 ms and 15 fps is cheating tbh. I'll usually just play with my screen off for fairness
I find at that ping anyone with a sword can just spam and I don’t have time to block and attack back before the next swing hits so I’m stuck blocking, that is assuming they spam which most people don’t

One universal server I can only agree if the server is located in antarctica or NASA space station so everyone from EU NA SEA have crazy ping all the same and see how lame it is
One server is always a bad idea imo
