Not for me , it’s so frustrating trying to find a decent level dino and for PvE it’s not exactly an OP method. You don’t have to use the dino finder if you enjoy searching for dinos

Progress more and get the CS transmitter then, it has that function already you just have to make it to tek tier. I don't agree with adding a different mod for it. Cyber Structures has it at tek tier and that is more balanced than everyone starting with it, which would eliminate any/all competition for finding good dinos

I’ve never been to tek tier so how am I to know? But also PvE is about making things look nice ultimately, I would never ever prepare for boss fights in PvE 😂 I don’t see the issue with having it. People who want it use it people who don’t , don’t. It doesn’t impact your progression

PvE is about not having to fight other people, plain and simple. What you choose to do with your time on PvE is ultimately up to you. A dino finder mod would exponentially increase progression for everyone on the server, regardless if they choose to use it or not. It takes only 1 person to use it, find the max level dinos with amazing stats, and breed them out to everyone else (no one would ever know they used dino finder to tame them). Now the entire server has access to any dinos they need the second the mod is added and going out to tame high stat dinos becomes trivial. Obviously this is a bit of an extreme but I have straight up seen it happen, it is not fun.

Whether you knew before or not, we have a mod that already added an item with the function you are looking for. You simply have to get to tek tier to use it. If you don't want to get to tek tier, I don't know what to say. It's already in the game
