This isn't a fix or solution, but it's a way to minimize popcorning.
And I know what you're about to say: "If you're on a 15x server, you don’t raid for loot but for the experience."
But my problem is that players are popcorning loot that could actually be used to defend themselves. They give up way too fast, which ruins the experience of an online raid and encourages offline raiding. You get the same outcome as an online raid if they popcorn, because they're just going to log off either way after they popcorn everything.
The way I’m thinking to minimize this is by introducing a system where, if a player can provide clear proof that someone is popcorning, they can submit a new type of ticket with that proof. If it's obvious, the admins could give the tribe that was popcorning a special role, like "POPCORNING BOB 🤡" in an ugly color. I’ve read other threads, and even Chaos has said the same thing—he doesn’t like players popcorning loot they could use to defend themselves.
I know you admins already have a lot of tickets to deal with, but you could simply say, "If the proof isn’t there, we won’t give the role. We won’t argue—if the proof isn’t clear, the ticket gets closed." This way, the responsibility is on the players, not the admins, to help minimize the problem of popcorning. You wouldn’t have to rush to give out the role either—it could take a while, even 14 days, as long as the proof is there.
I get that most ARK players probably wouldn’t care, but it might make 10% of them think twice before they popcorn everything.
And let me say it again—I don’t care about the loot. What pisses me off is the fact that they’re popcorning loot they could be using to defend themselves.
