Most bhoppers rely on SSJ in regular CS to know where there at, and how to improve. I utilize SSJ on every bhop server I've been on, paying close attention to my gain and sync. Will this be a thing in the 1.0 release? I'd love to see my own SSJ stats including gain, sync, speed on (x) jump, and deviation. I'd also like to see this on replays, to see if what theyve done is even possible.

Also, If this is already a thing and I just overlooked it. just a point in the right direction would be awesome.
Little addition if you are aware of what SSJ is,
https://github.com/neko-pm/ssj
im pretty sure someone already has a draft ssj in panorama, just hasn't been polished enough to add
maybe @reef bobcat ?
so dunno if it'll be by 1.0.0 or not but ssj is definitely known and should be in at some point, roadmap permitting
Jump stats are absolutely coming very very soon
awesome. Glad to hear!
Sweet
Yeah Peen has being working on an improved Panorama API on the C++ side that'll let anyone work on Panorama stats panels, all the Panorama JS is open source
Roady's done some stuff already but it'll be a lot cleaner once the new API is hooked up
Then the plan is to do lots of small little bhop components like SSJ, jhud strafe sync thingy etc, once hud customizer is done you'll be able to drag them around ingame and position however you want
Figured people would prefer a modular draggable system over one single big chunk of UI
When you say deviations what are you refering to, also idr if it works with replays or spectating, i dont think it does right now and idk how new api changes things
Have not looked at this stuff in a long time but as far as i can remember when on a replay or spectating it just doesnt know when a jump happened so it does not print stuff out, but constantly updating things like strafetrainer work
Between the replay refactor and events I added with the API it might just work with replays
I'll check that out on the dev branch and let ya know
Idr does ssj work when spectating in css? Been so long
Also has anything been put in place for where to print out ssj? I know there was some discussions forever ago about having like chat filters or some system like that
right now I've made a panel for it, but it's very early/open to feedback
we had talked about chat messages for stats, but that won't come for a little while
I know the panel could use a little styling TLC - the main thing is getting it in to be tested/to gather feedback
tbh, if you want to take over the panel stuff once the API is available in the steam version I wouldn't mind at all
(looking like it could be this next release, 0.9.5)
does not print stats in replay. And it looks pretty whack with the replay controls displayed.
Idk im busy for the next little bit depends on when it comes out, excited to see though
Spec/replay i think just needs to activate the jump api
But thats prob another thing later down the line, not super important right now
Should be this friday if it can get one more review on it
🫣hope i have momentum on my laptop
no sweat!

@reef bobcat I’m not sure about CSS, but I know replay/spectate SSJ is a thing on CSGO.
I figured it was just had a thought about jump numbers on replay/spec
Also seg
But that isnt really important
Also I feel as though deviation is more of an anti-cheat aspect, I'm not exactly sure how its calculated so I cant really assist in that one.
Ya i was thinking about throwing in deviation logs a while ago but i was too lazy to go find the math used
Also it isnt really important
deviation is pretty solid, most optimizers and other cheats dont really try to hide it
just an extra step of security
Ya internally they are gonna have all the anticheat stuff, adding it to ui is more only for strafers who wanna brag about getting a .4
yep 😎
speaking of anti-cheat, who is going to be in charge of moderation? will it be the player-base, or will there be dedicated "admins"
I think its mostly automated with manual review from the team, but also anticheat is more hidden then the rest of the game and is coming as the last thing pre 1.0
If someone sat down and explained the math for calculating deviation logs to me i could make something print them but it wont be added to the game
Maybe one day pano ui could be shared on the workshop or something🙃
I think players will be able to report runs but the internal AC stuff will be completed closed off
It’s already open source. Idk exactly what the process will be for the future, but people can submit PRs
And by process I mean things will need to meet a certain quality bar or design/theme. Not that what you’ve made isn’t, it just lives on your own fork. You or others could build pano stuff and submit it to be added
Ha, that’s basically what I did with cgaz before I had engine access
Ya i was more thinking for things that shouldnt be added officially
Would be cool if it was super easy and you didnt have to like merge any files
also with unofficial stuff i can sneak in more autofavorite lines and more people will use them, idk if they would make it past review
yeah I kinda worry about workshop just cus people can potentially sneak weird stuff into them
though we're gonna remove GameInterfaceUI.ConsoleCommand soon
then idk we're need some kinda module loader system in C++ to load files in certain directories I guess, cus yeah we don't want people to have to merge stuff in hud.xml together
Ya even without consolecommand theres prob some fun stuff you can do, and bad things as well
Could have a peer review process
as soon as you add 1 safety check or new feature to workshop you can't use the workshop anymore
Rip, hopefully theres some place to share peer reviewed code
github :)
😔i guess
Thread is on its way to be most replied 😎
