For the past year, most of the UI's text has been hardcoded in English. It's been split out in localised tokens now, but there's well over a thousand, so we've probably missed a couple.

So, if you're playing the game in a language other than English and you see a string that's in English, please let us know here.

If just an untranslated token i.e. has a hash at the start such as #Action_StartMap, #Leaderboards_Error_NoFriends etc. that just means the string has not been translated to that language yet (or it has but the game hasn't been updated with the new strings), and there's no need to report.

Those popups I didn't do since they're liable to change and ultimately we care more about the final product (1.0.0) than playtest specific stuff. But maybe it makes sense to still do them, especially since that would get those string literals out of the Git repo and allow us to just update with POEditor when stuff changes

So okay yeah, I'll tokenize those tomorrow and add to POEditor, can always just leave a comment saying it's low priority

Do you mean all those strings in the toasts (top right dialogues)? I thought I'd ported those but may have missed the top one

Actually shit you might be right - I tried getting toasts working at the last minute but maybe missed some stuff, the Labels in the toasts now get localised but I may have forgotten to change the strings in game code, I'll check that out. Thanks for the reports 🙂

And yeah with temp strings like that I guess it's no big deal localising those, I just want to avoid wasting people's time as much as possible, well aware that silly mistakes on our end can mean like 25 people wasting their time on one string

maybe you should find a way to auto check for this kind of stuff, I imagine it might be worse if somebody was playing in a different language

Okay today gonna finish up all the fixes I can from reports here. Fixed everything I can that doesn't require game code changes, that needs a discussion with P2:CE devs first

Oh and the speedometer I'm still not gonna touch as it'd take a bunch of work to localise and bunch of it may be being rewritten soon

Also, if I could record it I would but, the description part of the maps rj_christmas and iT are freaking out in that it's oscillating between showing all authors and only 1 line of authors every couple of frames or so.

idk, but actually I just realized I can inspect it more closely by unfocusing the game (which lowers my fps), and it seems that it's putting all the authors one one line, then fitting it to two, then three, then putting them all on one line again

A bug specific for turkish localization. Unlocalizable text like map names and some gamemode names like climb and tricksuf is spelled with wrong version of the letter "I" resulting in weird spelling in many places.

Most likely while coverting text to uppercase coverts i -> İ because İ and I are different letters in Turkish. It works for Tukish texts but messes up the English ones.

maybe MapSelector_Info_Stats? shouldn't the "Z" in {d:numZones} be lowercase?

Those are panel attributes that get set in code in English, so changing those at all cause it to not be able to read the value from code

as of latest update a handful of misc options in settings are no longer localized properly in english
