I Believe that albion needs a lot of love in the healing department, we only have 2 classes that can heal efficiently while both other realms have at least 3, it has been the case since day one pretty much
In that regard, i think the heretic or paladin should get more options then what they have now, which let's not kid ourselves here, is definitelly not viable as a full time healer
Let's hear good idead on how these classes could be improved to be viable healers 😄

They aren't meant to be the best healers. They're secondary healers just like WLs/valks and ments/bards
They do just as good as valks/ments/WLs

Even a Valk would out heal a paladin, yet again, apples and oranges, just check the charplanner to understand, i really don't need to start enumerating what class has what spells to compare,.

A valk also doesn't have a spec group heal where a paladin does. Again, as you said, apples and oranges. You can't compare directly between realms and that's what makes DAoC different

Paladin spec group heal is garbage though, cast that twice and you're oom, paladin group insta heal is on a 1 min recast timer and heals for 300 while valk one is on a 15 second recast and heals for 500, so yeah

Shorter range vs 1500 range. Again, they're not primary healers. If you want to heal so bad, play a primary healer. If a paladin could heal like a friar or cleric, why would you run a friar or cleric lol

Albion has the same number of main healers as the other realms, 2. Others are hybrids with some heal capabilities, which are mostly irrelevant on an 8v8 situation, they shine only in smallman, and for what the classes bring, alb would even be arguably superior. In a real 8v8 situation none of those classes are healing more than some very situational times and cannot be taken as heal classes for the matter of real rvr. Like said, alb has 2 main healers exactly like hib and mid.

Healer, Shaman, Warlock, Valk vs Druid, Warden, Bard, Mentalist vs Cleric, Friar, Heretic, Pally. It’s close, but there’s no doubt Albion comes up short, as far as heals goes, compared to the other realms.

Healer/Shaman vs Druid/Warden vs Cleric/Friar is even. Lock/Valk vs Bard/Ment vs Tic/Pally. Tic/Pally definitely inferior to the other healing duos.

Okay yeah all of this is true but a Paladin can out DPS a Bard so I think bards need some additional nukes or spec points or a change to their damage table to keep up.

Paladin cannot compete with any other healer imo - the enormous power cost of the group heal means that you can get 4 casts of it off with 101 acuity+25% power pool, and without a baseline grp heal theres no means to even come close to any other heal class.
Hib and mid both have 3 spec heal classes that are capable of putting out more than 4 spec grp heals
