It would be great if the kick system worked like it used where kicking someone prevented them rejoining that room till it's remade. It was a good system, with the new one a kicked person can keep rejoining. Was better the old way. I don't want to have a huge ban list of users to manage, preventing them rejoining for that film is punishment enough, I believe in second chances and don't want to have to wipe my ban list after each film

Ban list, block list same thing. No point arguing over semantics. I don't want to have to worry about them for the rest of the movie nor do I want to permently ban anyone from my rooms. So being forced into maintaining a block (ban) list is a step back for me. The new system is less functional and intuitive imo. The old kick system was perfect and would perfectly compliment the new admin tools in my opinion

In the old system, once you kicked a person from your room, they could never rejoin that room. You would have to make a new room.
Now rooms are persistent, so you can never make new rooms. You're always using the same old room. So a person kicked can never come back, and you wouldn't be able to allow them in again.

So if we implemented this request, I think everyone would be mad that the friend they kicked for fun can never join their room again, or the person they accidentally kicked can't come back, or that they can't give a second chance to anyone.
This actually is how it worked during alpha. I'm the one that pushed for the changes to how kicking worked.
The alternative would have been to make an 'unkick list' you could undo kicks from. But at that point, there's really not much difference between that and unblocking someone.

A timer option could still work and be a more elegant solution, so when you kick someone you can choose a kick for 30min, 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours. Would make it so kicked people can't rejoin straight away and also not be permentally banned from a room
