#Allow guests to be room moderators

This is something myself and other users have discussed. An example of when this is required is the host is playing a game, and has to pause the game to kick a disruptive user. Instead, a moderator should be able to do this
or when a pcvr user is hosting a movie and has to switch screens to kick someone, i use quest 2 but still it would be helpful as i have a lot of regulars that i trust to be good mods
Yes, I made a post about this on the subreddit as well, it is practically essential for public rooms
This is a great idea and i hope it’s implemented soon.
Really love this idea
ditto
Yes, first, we need a buddy list to add friends so we can even plan to be in the same place at the same time. But once we have that, allowing others to moderate would be nice.
Is there any indication to whether this will be implemented or not?
No we been asking for a while the one I want is to turn off tools and toys for the whole rrom so no one can spawn them.
It feels like they almost just aren’t able to implement it due to some engine restriction because this should be a really high priority thing if they want hosters to stick around
Agreed. A vote kick system would be the most ideal. It's not fun trying to show a movie while also taking on the role of sheiff/babysitter. Why do I have to be the sole determiner of who's crossing the line of annoyance?
Nobody is allowed to have a vote if I am streaming you behave or I will kick you. I dont waste time with warnings during a movie why would I disrupt the movie to do that.
In my rooms it is very simple if you spawn any tool or toy you get kicked there is no vote. If you talk during a movie you get kicked, a comment here and there is ok. If every other joke is a gay or sexual during sports you get kicked no warning, which I allow adult conversation just like you are at your friends house but I dont allow stupid they can go away there is no vote.
If you want to talk while watching a movie go to those rooms some people dont care about that or tools and toys. I never run that kind of movie room
