This is exactly what the block button does. You can already do this in Bigscreen. Click a user's name, either above their head or from the list in the menu, and click block to make them disappear and mute them.

It doesn't kick them or prevent joins but it only affects you. As the host, a block does not stop them from bothering other people in your room. Your guests need to also block them if they want them gone.

As @ember furnace mentions, this is already what the block button does. It's shown how this works in the Bigscreen tutorial. If you want to go through it again, you can do so from the Bigscreen Menu > Settings > Help > Tutorials.
In addition, please remember to follow our guidelines and use appropriate tags. This request has nothing to do showing video from your desktop, or with tools, but is a UI control.

@digital tulip thank you spring otter had already clarified that. Also that was a simple misclick on my phone for the tags. The tutorial did not work for me when I first signed into bigscreen i had a lot of issues at first.

If you made a misclick on the tags, you can change them after you make the post. Since you hadn't changed the tags at the time I had posted, I brought it up.
You also cannot delete threads that other people have posted in, as regular user cannot delete other user's posts.

How about an option to mute but not remove from your own sight, would be nice.
