This is neither a bug with Bigscreen, or a feature request. Please use #need-help if you are having issues with this.

There isn't any. Bigscreen does not pop up on it's own. I use it all the time, and often have it behind other screens, and have helped multiple other people who had the issue you had, and it is the result of Oculus software, or a setting in Windows forcing it to the front.

#

Hence why I said this is not a bug with Bigscreen, or something that could be added as a feature.

i'm streaming right now, but i'll show you some screenshots when i'm done, to show you what i mean.
and yes, it DOES pop up on its own.

I don't think you read what I just said.

#

It happens, but is the result of Oculus software, or Windows forcing Bigscreen to the front, not something Bigscreen is doing itself.

#

As I just said, I've helped multiple other people with this issue in the past.

that's exactly what i meant.
Oculus does it. but it can be solved by having no desktop splash screen or whatever it's called for Bigscreen.

vapid raven
#

It's not a splash screen, it's just the Bigscreen app running.

again, i'll show you when i'm done streaming, maybe tomorrow cos its gonna be late today

#

yeah it is the bigscreen app, again, like i said

And I can show you it not doing that at all, if you'd like.

i can show you it actually is. please, i'm not bullshitting here, i'm actually seeing it happen as we speaek

vapid raven
#

It's not something the Bigscreen app is doing on its own.

Again, as I mentioned before, this is the result of Oculus software, or something else you have running in Windows bringing it to the front.

#

And this is not the appropriate place for this. I'll repeat again, please use #need-help.

quaint summit
#

yes. again, it IS the Oculus doing that, but it can be solved through just removing the desktop visuals for the BG app...

#

i can't email Oculus to remove activating the current app whenever I put my HMD back on, can i

vapid raven
#

There is no visual thing. If you mean making the app not visible, then you would be losing functionality that a lot of people, including myself, use.

lol ok, nevermind man.

As I mentioned already, I have helped a number of people already with this issue in #need-help.
