The restriction on dismantling store-bought uncommon gear was removed at some point, but I don't know why it's restricted again.
This suggestion is just for droppable gear, I don't care if store-bought gear is included or not in the suggestion.

This was brought up and denied in the old suggestions. While I agree it makes sense to not have gaps in what is eligible for dismantling it is just too much work to make that happen when the vast majority of players are not dismantling uncommon gear.
From what I understand, every single piece of gear eligible for dismantling must be entered by hand into the database. It’s very labor intensive.
If you run the numbers on how much the materials would cost for you to buy them from a shop you come out ahead by vendoring uncommon and rare gears. With epics/legs it’s worth more to dismantle since the mats are worth more but the vendor price remains the same.
