#Adding PVP Queues to the LFG Tab

I don’t play pvp so forgive me if I’m not using the correct terms - it sounds like it would be helpful to know:

  • if a player is queued and for what game mode (1v1 or 2v2).
  • If a 2v2 queued population changes.

I don’t know if the functionality exists for live updates like Frogspoison mentioned but for now could maybe we have it launch a link in the LFG (or PVP) tab like pve co-op games do? Seems like that would be helpful for the pvp community instead of solely relying on soliciting for partners in chat.

Original suggestion from Frogspoison.

In LFG it would be nice! In pvp chat would not be useful

I like this idea. Right now we often just shout out in general if looking to get a 2v2 match going

Really like that idea... would be a great incentive for PvP

Any steps taken on implementing the pvp beginner incentives/recommendations that was discussed on the pvp server a few months ago?

Imo the only thing pvp really needs is a record function to see how the other players played exactly. You should be able to switch between all the individual LOS of the enemies and your own. It would improve all players enormously. It is probably very difficult to implement from scratch but it is an absolute basic feature every RTS has. I also feel like the pvp scene is really inactive atm

Yeah a lot of the suggestions that I was referencing were around increasing activity or helping new pvp players.

I dont remember which channel the discussion was in but will try to look back and find it

Yes i mean it is a specific feature in AoM, AoE2 etc. You can watch the replay and change camera free around to see even things you weren't watching back when the game played. The data size of the replays is very small because the game is like a repercussion of the actual game played, that is why often after a new patch it won't work anymore. There is the possibility to use OBS for your own view but it gives rather small information compared to a real replay. The best i could find was a featured game from spartan showing most of the important stuff of both players, when he was observing, or the twitch videos about the enemie's view i was in.

as long as the name of the person in queue is completely anonymous and not shown anywhere, i'm more than fine with the idea

#

and yes, i know how important having replays is

but please be assured that it's not something we haven't tried (several times) to add to the game already, and it's not as easy as some people think it is just because theace was able to do it in a video, or whatever reason they might have to think that
