3rd one is by far the worst and doesn't feel connected to the concept enough

looks more like a shitty version of doctor robotnik from the SATam cartoon

the first one is pretty good if a bit too cartoony but hits a perfect distressing vibe with the utter lack of expression in his eyes

the second one, however, feels more like an actual person in a way, and i can smell his breath just by looking at him, but he almost feels too expressive

These characters are named Agent Androse and Bruce :D

They are both members of the Top Secret International Peace Keeping Association

Androse, being recognized within the association as among the absolute best of the best, got transferred from a neighboring country into the branch Bruce works at to help in efforts to dismantle the plans of a very powerful extremist political organization that wishes to enact a hostile government takeover to establish a fascist rule over the country, which has utterly disastrous implications for the entire world.

Androse has a very powerful skillset including things like the ability to practically flawlessly mimic a person's behaviors, mannerisms, and other general quirks. This allows him to assume another person's identity in the case of an undercover operation where the best tactic would be to replace any given person for a short period. This combined with an insanely impressive vocal range that helps him adopt everything down to the near exact voice of an individual makes for an absolutely air tight cover. His androgynous appearance, the idea that led me to create him in the first place, also helps when an operation demands the forging of a completely new identity, allowing him to easily assume a more masc or femme appearance and also opens the door for him to hijack the identities of men and women all the same.

He also has an all-star makeup, prosthetic, and costume artist in his crew. This is very important info.

That costume designer is just as big a player as Androse in this whole thing because without them, most of Androse's relevant skills would be rendered moreso irrelevant. This costume designer is about 50% of what makes Androse the all-star top tier agent he is.

so it seems i have a solid general setup, now what i need to concern myself with is the execution

how will i write this chapter

i reckon the beginning will be easy enough, standard top secret government agency stuff, mission briefing, characters get their names shown when they're introduced, quick snappy stuff and a very basic bog standard plot to start with that slowly escalates

eventually the characters stumble upon information that tells of a plot to overthrow the government and replace the president or whatever with a fascist dictator or some deadly neurotoxin shit or something

this plot, being a threat to the country in which this takes place, which is a dominant superpower in this story's world, presents a threat so massive, with security so airtight, and dangerous government ties, that this agency has no choice but to call upon the aide of the absolute best of the best internationally, which leads to the introduction of the main character

ive already shared plenty about agent androse himself

i can give it a couple more drafts but after spewing all that, it sounds pretty solid

way more solid inside my brain where i am generating scenes and stuff

this story may or may not be heavily inspired by the current political landscape in a certain country in which i live

so, yeah, sorry to break it to ya but this story does have some major political elements to it but it's all for the sake of queer little spy fella and his big gay man buddy

i always have a super rough time starting my stories, this is the primary reason for june's comic starting with a cold open nightmare sequence because instead of meticulously expositioning in the first chapter i can just throw the reader into the fray immediately and do some lighter introduction work just having some characters get introduced mainly

of course there did have to be some obnoxiously expository dialogue in a couple scenes but that's just how a first chapter be sometimes 🙃
