Cool that looks heavy duty
Nice work @faint rivet
Yes!
@faint rivet It's Godot Engine right?
Correct
4.6 beta to be exact
@faint rivet I was just curious to see how you are using godot for samp but nevermind All the best 😉
Curious leads to learning
I wrote a dff parser or whatever they call it, it converts dff into a format godot can read at run time
Same thing for txd
I feel like working with pngs (extracted using magic txd) would be the most efficient approach instead of trying to parse txd files
@faint rivet Intersting enough well I'm still learning the engine so nothing I can do.
Again keep working all the best
Col Andreas extracts the map objects using BulletPhysics, you can look a bit into that
Oh that's interesting, thanks for the heads-up!
Here's some more progress
Hopefully we'll be able to retexture objects without being ingame anymore
I fear that this may not be a thing in the editor since I BARLEY have objects rendering in the scene, I had to convert all dff models to glb just to get them to play well with godot
Maybe Open sourcing it for the community might help
It was meant to be a replacement to the old map editor most of use
I'm saying "it was meant.." because I lost all the files to this projects alongside other Godot projects
damn i see
@faint rivet I hope its available for free 👀
it was going to be free
i just lost project files and i have no backups
So
Project is shut?
yeah that's pretty much it
